Bose QC 35: Best Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones
If there is one thing that I learned not to take for granted, it is the quality of sound and image. It’s simply a sin to watch a low-quality movie or even listen to music on low-end speakers or headphones.
You will always find cheaper alternatives to the expensive tech products, and I am usually the first to recommend these devices, but not in this post.
I’ve been on an endless quest to find the perfect affordable headphones/earphones. Because, on top of wanting a high-end sound experience, I am always complaining of the distractions around me: There is too much noise, I need to concentrate, the humming of the nearby generator is killing me, it’s a long flight, the kids are too loud, etc… I think any of you can relate to one or many of the above issues.
The solution is a noise canceling device. But seriously don’t waste your time searching, I’ve already done that. Go to the nearby tech store and buy the Bose QuietComfort 35 (acoustic noise canceling), it is worth every penny.
For the past few years, I have been using the Bose QC3. It is still in perfect condition and works perfectly, it is light to carry around and can fit easily in my laptop bag. It’s a great sound canceling device; the only downside is that it does not cover all of your ears. Hence, I needed something more immersive and started looking for headphones with bigger earcups to cover the ears completely.
I have been going around testing the various devices and reading all the reviews until I settled on the Bose Quiet Comfort 35.
Overview of the Bose QC 35:
There are two main attractive features in the QC35: The incredible noise cancellation and the wireless Bluetooth integration.
You won’t realize how annoying the cable is until you stop using it. The only downside is that you can’t change the battery when empty, you will need to wait for it to charge until you can use it again.
The QC35 is sold online at $349; I got it from the Paris duty-free for 330 euros (around $355).
Noise Cancellation:
You will immediately feel the reduction of the noise when you switch it on; the noise cancellation will increase as the music volume goes up.
Battery Life:
A full charge will give you 20 hours of listening. When it runs down, a quick 15-minute charge gives you another 2.5 hours.
Bluetooth:
In the market, you will find plenty of Bluetooth-enabled wireless headphones; you will also find a few Noise canceling headphones. But the options are limited for a device with both features included. Nevertheless, the box still contains an audio cable for a wired connection as well as an airline adapter.
Bose Connect App:
The companion app is quite useful; It controls the volume, battery readings, music sharing across multiple wireless Bose headphones, manages the different Bluetooth devices as well as product software updates.
Overall:
I highly recommend this product; you will love listening to your favorite tracks without disturbing others and without being disturbed.
Today, it is simply the best commercial device on the market.
