Techie Dad is a blog about Innovation, Communication, Technology, Advertising, Art, Design, Content and my two Kids. The purpose of the blog is to share my experiences and learnings on a personal and professional level.
I grew up between Beirut and L.A. as a left-handed techie kid with a passion for technology and arts, I used to spend my time as a kid either drawing, playing music or breaking down and repairing any electronic devices we had.
I’ve always been Techie, Art oriented, and lately a very proud dad, hence Techie Dad.
In university, I studied Graphic Design. After graduation, I joined Quantum Group, one of the leading communications groups in the MENA region.
My journey in the Group started at Brand Central as a corporate identity and Arabic typography specialist. I later moved to the advertising arena with Saatchi & Saatchi, now M&C Saatchi MENA, where I headed the digital division and helped lead the agency into the digital and social media age. Along the way, I have worked on several iconic local, regional, and international projects ranging from F&B, Fashion, Banking, Telecom, Media, Religious, Governmental and Political.
On a parallel front, I serve a strategic consultant for Le Charcutier, contributing to the growth of the supermarket chain from 4 to 16 branches, becoming the largest and most established Lebanese retailer.
Today, I act as Innovation Director at M&C Saatchi MENA and Group Digital Director in charge of digital thinking and implementations for group companies.
I am also an Instructor in Media Studies at the American University of Beirut (AUB), a public speaker, and a mentor in the Lebanon tech startup ecosystem.
